Affiliate networks also work on your behalf (the affiliate) to keep track of your sales progress and up to date information. These networks are free to join and your not obligated to make a cretin amount of sales to keep you membership. Some of the top affiliates use multiple affiliate networks to maximize their income and/or profit potential. Clickbank is one of the more popular ones that only deals with digital products. This means products that can be downloaded directly to the customers computer. It's a great place to start out if your a newbie affiliate as they provided detailed information on the sales history of a product as well a gravity, commission payout and more. Clickbank also get updated regularly with new products. Most of the commissions here lay in the 50% to 60% range. Another popular network is Commission Junction they also have excellent stats and products. The products in this network are physical witch means that they would have to be shipped to the customers house. When choosing a product from an affiliate network you can view the product page itself. When doing this make sure that the product page is convincing and informative. If the product page dose not grab you attention right away then it won't interest many other people either. Some affiliate network however will tell you how popular a product is, usually the ones at the top of the list are the most popular. Most of the time you will have a minimum payout with your commission. You can set this minimum. For example if you have a minimum payout of $100 with Clickbank then you won't receive a paycheck until you have made $100 in commissions. Clickbank and most other affiliate networks have a 2 week pay period some on the other hand have a 1 moth pay period so you have that much time to hit you minimum payout to receive a real paycheck in the mail.
