In other words an affiliate program is a gateway for marketers and enraptures to earn money through their Website. They usually offer tools to help the affiliate successful promote the merchants product, such as banners, graphics, pop ups, video and more. These tools and graphics would be inserted into the HTML coding of your Wabpage. If you don't know how to find an affiliate program that you might be interested in it's very simple. Go to Google, Yahoo or whatever search engine you use and type in your niche of interest and then the words affiliate program in quotations. For example if you wanted to promote a weight loss product then just type in "weight loss affiliate program" to see listings of weight loss products that have affiliate programs. Get it. You may also go to affiliate directories to see a large amount of affiliate programs being offered. These directories are often cauterized into general topics or niches, such as entertainment, health & beauty, marketing, computer software ect. Some affiliate programs are better than others as with anything else. Many affiliate programs will say that there conversion ratio is off the charts and many affiliates are making money by the boat load but it's important to look at the competition. This means how many other people are promoting this product and how much money are they really making. There are software tools available to spy on the competition and see what they are doing. Some of these tools are free, Google has a few free tools to help affiliates. One simple free way of examining the competition is to look at the Google Ad Words ad on the right side of the page after your type in a search term related to your niche or topic. If you see a ton of ads to the right then there is no doubt that many other affiliates are paying good money to be seen in the search engine. Assuming your unfamiliar with Google Ad Words it's a way to get instant traffic to your site by paying a cretin amount of money every time your Ad Words ad is clicked on but the price depends on the keyword itself it's not just one flat fee. In a nut shell affiliate programs are easy to come buy but it may take a little research to find one that is profitable and easy for you to promote. If your just starting out I recommend that you choose a topic that interests you such as cars, music, home design or whatever your into. But also take into consideration what is the market like for this topic.
